Incorporation
NON PROFIT ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Articles of Incorporation for ShickshinnyForward, a Pennsylvania Nonprofit Corporation, have been filed and approved by the Department of State of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on July 1, 2013, pursuant to the revisions of the Nonprofit Corporation Law of 1988, as amended supplemented. The purpose for which it is organized is to rebuild, reinvent and protect Shickshinny by encouraging, empowering, equipping and engaging the Shickshinny area community for long-term recovery.

501c3 Fiscal Sponsor
The Executive Board formally named a working group to provide a recommendation of a 501c3 fiscal sponsor (members are Michael, Sara, Clarence, Dan). This group will establish a short list of potential fiscal sponsors, scorecard to evaluate the sponsors and complete interviews / assessments / due diligence with fiscal sponsors on our short list. Our target to complete the recommendation and vote on a fiscal sponsor is the June 4 executive board meeting.

Announcement – Leadership Team
The President and Vice-President of Shickshinny Forward were nominated and elected on March 15. Congrats to President Brian Phillips and Vice President Clarence ‘Butch’ Lewis on their elections. The Leadership Team structure was agreed in principle on March 15, 2012 as well – and further details of the structure / membership will be aligned on March 21 at the first Shickshinny Forward Leadership Team meeting (6PM @ the Shickshinny Borough Building).
In January 2013, Clarence Lewis unexpectedly tendered his resignation. The Executive Board has voted the following revised executive members:
